  • How is it living in a different country?

Living in a different country is very much exciting. I do enjoy discovering new places, be involved in a new culture, explore new foods, arts, costumes and people. I moved from a small village (Montepulciano) in Italy to a small town during my studies (Pisa) to even a bigger town during my master (Lausanne) to finally meet the big one, London where I am based right now. I have enjoyed the process and I like going back and forth often between them appreciating the pros and cons of living in such different environments and cultures.

  • What motivated you to be in the FiBreMoD project?

Being passionate about composite materials and science in general FibreMoD looked to me like an unique opportunity to grow in the field and improve my skills and knowledge. I do really appreciate the intense interaction between academic world and Industrial partners FibreMod project is based on. I think it is of fundamental importance nowadays where this interaction has become increasingly tighter and more efficient overall.

  • What are your thoughts and first impressions about the whole FiBreMoD project?

My first impression is very positive. The project is well organized, people are committed and well prepared. The project itself is very challenging especially in terms of planning work ahead. In fact, several secondments and training units are planned during the project and this requires a good planning strategy to meet deadlines and carry on a fruitful research.

  • Any dream for your future you would like to share?

I tend to see my dreams transform and change with new opportunities therefore, I would say that I will see what the future has to offer and make sure to catch the right opportunity to achieve my goals.

  • If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

I guess that moving fast in time and space would be pretty cool. The first one because It would allow me to meet people from the past for many different reasons ranging from discussing over a book, a theory, appreciate their personality and being inspired by their thoughts to more personal reasons. The second because if it is hot outside and want to dive in the Polynesian sea it would not cost a thousand pounds and 2 days in the sky eheh.
